Director Min-Hsiung Yang of the Office of Marine Technology Development at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology recently led a delegation to visit Dragon Geosciences’ headquarters. During the visit, Chairman Hsi and the Dragon Geosciences team engaged in in-depth discussions with the guests on long-term cooperation in areas such as talent development, industry-academia matchmaking, and technical training, with the shared goal of further deepening and expanding industry-academia collaboration.
Since 2019, Dragon Geosciences and NKUST have established a long-term strategic partnership. Together, they not only built Taiwan’s first high-tech research vessel jointly developed by a private enterprise and an academic institution — Polaris — but have also achieved deep integration between industry practice and academic research across multiple areas, including talent cultivation, cross-sector visits, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and industry-academia matchmaking.
We sincerely thank Director Yang for his visit. Moving forward, Dragon Geosciences will continue to work hand in hand with NKUST to safeguard the foundation of our blue ocean while creating more opportunities for practical marine research and talent connection in Taiwan’s marine technology sector.
