Recently, Dragon Geosciences welcomed a delegation of NGO representatives from Japan and South Korea, invited by the “Offshore Wind APAC 2026 convening” hosted by the Island Resilience Institute (IRI). The group embarked on an in-depth onboard tour of our research vessel, the R/V Australis.

The delegation brought together influential forces driving sustainability in the APAC region, including WWF Japan, Carbon Trust, the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), and various regional renewable energy research institutes. They were joined by experts from various Japanese and South Korean renewable energy research institutes, climate and energy transition forums, green transformation institutes, and Taiwan’s local energy for charity associations. Together, these experts witnessed Taiwan’s advanced technical capabilities in subsea exploration for offshore wind development.

The technical exchange sparked highly engaging discussions. In addition to examining the unique geological characteristics of Taiwan’s wind farms, the dialogue delved deeply into how to ensure marine ecological conservation during offshore operations and long-term maintenance (O&M). Our team also shared Dragon Geosciences' commitment to implementing eco-friendly practices in our daily operations.

We are deeply honored to have served as a key site visit for this forum. We look forward to building on this cross-border dialogue to spark further innovation for regional offshore wind development and ecological balance!
