Since joining our fleet in 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟗, 𝐑/𝐕 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬 has served as a cornerstone of 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬, renowned for its exceptional versatility. As our inaugural 275-ton mid-sized survey vessel, she boasts a maximum operational depth of 𝟕,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬. Her high deployment flexibility allows her to seamlessly handle a diverse range of missions—from physical oceanography and terrain mapping to high-stakes deep-sea search and rescue (SAR). Amidst the global waves of technological evolution and energy transition, R/V Polaris has evolved into an indispensable asset for offshore wind infrastructure.

This robust operational capability stems from the strategic industry-academia partnership between Dragon Geosciences and the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST). R/V Polaris is equipped with a comprehensive suite of survey instruments, including 𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐒, 𝐒𝐒𝐒, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐁𝐏, integrated with a 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠 𝐃𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐃𝐏) 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦. This ensures precise station-keeping and maneuvering even in volatile sea conditions, significantly enhancing both operational safety and data reliability.
